Philosophy

RSV Australia Pty Ltd strives to achieve and maintain leadership in the field of project management and design by engaging personnel of the highest calibre who are recognised experts in their technical fields and employing, through proven proprietary systems, the latest project delivery techniques.

RSV Australia’s Project Management philosophy embraces a holistic view rather than a narrow elaboration of techniques and tools. A fine balance is maintained between management science and human behavioural science. The former discipline emphasises the “hard” quantitative aspects of economic variables, whilst the latter discipline focuses on the “soft” qualitative aspects of human behaviour, skills, attitudes and system organisation.

The Relationship between client and supplier, in the delivery of multi-functional, complex, long-lead mining projects cannot be underestimated. RSV Australia believes that these relationships are paramount to achieving project success and strives to develop between the parties the critical elements of trust, respect and tolerance required to encourage team-building and alignment between stakeholders.

RSV Australia views Design as a science based problem-solving activity with socio-human awareness. The first important step is a formal problem statement that will identify the functional constraints, then the equally important economic implications, human behavioural aspects, environmental impacts and most importantly the safety considerations are addressed.

Ethics

RSV Australia takes ethics seriously.

Professional codes represent consensus of a professional community about the standards that should govern their conduct. A code of ethics is best understood as providing a framework for ethical judgment, rather than a descriptive blueprint that is complete or above criticism. Adherence to a particular code will ensure moral conduct under any circumstance. A code of ethics does not, however, in any way remove the need for individual ethical behaviour or professional judgment.
